Michelle in Bristol

It was Michelle's first trip to Bristol. It had been a hectic week for all of us (I had been to Swansea for 2 days, Harry had held the fort, done the grocery shopping and played skittles and Michelle had had some long days at work) so we all needed a relaxing night on Friday. We drove to Bath on Saturday to visit the Roman Baths (hugely improved from last time we saw them - but we have been spoilt with seeing ruins in other countries), the Pulteney Bridge (with all the little shops), the Botanical Gardens, Crescent, Queen's Square, Sally Lun's house and then to the thermal spa for a swim (but the queue was 45-60 minutes wait and we decided we didn't feel like standing for that long but still would have loved that swim!). Also went to Bradford on Avon where we sat supping tea in the little coffee shop in the very old building with the fire (one of our favourite spots in winter), walked along the canal and around the tithe barn. Sunday, was cold (it started to snow as we left the house but it came to nothing) and our trip to Clevedon was curtailed due to the cold wind. Michelle and I kept hoping for lots of snow so we could make a snow man but that didn't happen. Sunday was Sharon's birthday and so it was an extra special day and we enjoyed wishing her Happy Birthday and hearing how her day went. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in April.

Then along came Monday and it started to snow - enough to halt all activity in some parts of the country including London - but not enough to stop us kiwis cycling through the snow singing 'Snowdrops keep falling on our heads' and rushing home to take some photos before it got too dark.
