Mike left to go back to Sydney on Wednesday and Rebecca left on Sunday. I must admit at the beginning of the week we felt exhausted (in bed by 8.30 on Sunday for me) and I kept wishing that we could have the weekend all over again. It was so special. During the week Harry started his new job and I started mentally preparing for my op next week. On Thursday Sharn came up from Christchurch and after a quick dinner in the sun we walked up to the soundshell to listen to Irish music. Toe tapping stuff, and then the rain came - and so did the black plastic ponchos donated by the sponsors - who could believe it - Wellingtonians (and one Cantaberian) dancing in black rubbish bags in the rain to Irish music. Saturday was another great day and we went with Judy and Rebecca to the photographers and then sat at Plimmerton Beach watching the seagulls, boats and tide while eating some fish and chips. Sunday, was similar - a picnic on Mt Vic and then meeting Jill and Graham in the gardens for a coffee - before going home to pack my bag - not looking forward to this week - but once it is over and I'm back to normal I am hoping that the blogs will be a bit more frequent .... Some photos from Mt Vic...
and some from our walk around the Pauatahanui inlet.
